Sustainability

According to the Aluminum Association, "Aluminum is one of the most recycled—and recyclable—materials in use today. A recycled aluminum beverage can, car door or window frame is often recycled directly back into itself. And this process can happen virtually infinitely."

High value and infinitely recyclable aluminum is a material tailor-made for a more circular and sustainable economy.

  • Recycling is a critical part of the modern aluminum business. Making recycled aluminum only takes around 5% of the energy needed to make new aluminum — reducing carbon emissions and saving money for businesses and end consumers.
  • As a result, around 75% of all aluminum ever produced is still in use today, as shown by comprehensive industry data.
  • In many industrial markets like automotive and building, recycling rates for aluminum exceed 90%.
  • Industry recycling efforts in the U.S. save more than 90 million barrels of oil equivalent each year.

REDUCE, REUSE, RECYCLE it's our culture.

Here at IPC, we excel at reducing our need to dispose of waste. We instinctively look for ways to repurpose scrap material or obsolete material. When we have waste material we always recycle.

Reduce

We size our lineal to maximize yields, reducing remnants and the volume of material that to be recycle.

Reuse

The pallets that out extrusions come in on are resized and used for our outbound fright. We also reuse the interleave for protection of delicate parts.

Recycle

When we do accumulate material to be recycled we partner local recyclers or the mill to reduce the transportation distance of material to recycled.
